VLAN anyone can help?
Firstly, I am sorry if I put this topic at wrong thread
I'm at the ccna3/4 and im so blind about VLAN
can anyone explain what that is? thank you

A virtual LAN, is a group of hosts with a common set of requirements that communicate as if they were attached to the Broadcast domain, regardless of their physical location. A VLAN has the same attributes as a physical LAN, but it allows for end stations to be grouped together even if they are not located on the same network switch. Network reconfiguration can be done through software instead of physically relocating devices.

so. . for this VLAN, we don't need a server to connect the hosts?
and. . is it like "garena" which link players and they played with connection such as they are "lan" even if they "wan"?
