Blah, blah, blah.

Everyone can pass around these ridiculous "Don't buy gas today" emails all they want. It won't even put a dent in the prices.

Blaming Bush is a nice way to scapegoat the problem. So while you are at it, why won't we also blame Blair, Sarkozy, Merkel and let's throw in Putin because I think he's a funny guy.

In America, gas prices are high because of a decline in production and Americans sensational urge to drive gigantic SUV's to buy milk at a deli 2 blocks away. If people would quit buying big SUV's that get 5 miles to the gallon, perhaps auto makers would be more inclined to start making more gas efficient vehicles.

At the present time, the only manufacturers that seem to be making more gas efficient vehicles are Honda and Toyota. Concededly both are foreign manufacturers. No surpirse Ford and GM are moving along at a snails pace.

I think, also that they use those "could go up as high as" numbers to scare us, and to make us grateful to pay $3/gallon.

Talked to hubby yesterday about the prospect of buyign an econobox. Now it's all down to finding the right one. Gonna be used, tiny, and a great buy. Something we can pay cash for. At current prices, it'd pay for itself in about two years if it gets 35-40 mpg, if we keep the price between $3k and 5K. But then, I drive 100 miles five days a week and he drives 100 more. He's got a little 4-cyl truck and teh difference in what we spend for gas is amazing.

We need a to FIRE them all and get a group of fifth graders to run the country,at least they would have more common sence and care about the US of A.

I actually agree with that!!
Bush can open the reserves and bring the prices down, but does he do this?

With price of gas, why even think about buying an 50mpg vehicle or trying to give away your SUV. They got you on the run now, Buying a new car, High taxes on the mileage saving car, high insurance, the taxes every year "oh my" I forgot the sales Tax.

So now lets say Mr.NO, buys and pays the expenses so i can put gas in the tank,
"W-o-o-ps", there they go again, now it is 5o bucks a gallon.

Better yet if your gonna tell people what they should buy or drive, you'd better start walking friend, as your using to much gas, also. Whats to much?. Start asking questions outside the box,not what they what you to hear.

Not to sound curt about it but it reminds me of the gas and Toilet paper shortage in the 1970s, When Johnny Carson made a pun about the toilet paper shortage, which mocked the gas shortage in the 70s. Then the next couple days there was one.

If you buy a used car you pay a lot less in taxes and none of it goes to the Fed gov't. insurances is lower too on a used car.

Be carful when buying a used car. It gets good mileage: but why did they get rid of the car?

Have some run a diagnostic check on the vehicle before buying as Transmissions are the command reason to get rid of car. I know this, when I bought a nice S10 blazer and cost me 2500 to have it fixed. The people that repaired it said "It is happening to most all newer vehicle, as they have a cheap design.
The housing of the transmision on the inside acts as the bushing and they would have to modify and build it right. They said a new transmission would cost the same, but would probly have the same problem in another 55,000 miles again.

Hey Yanqui what about A+

I see your A+. Is the test pretty hard?
I amost done with ITPC and have severs only in the fall
I pass all four of my Cisco classes but cant see myself doing that for a living to be certified or taking it every 3 years.

The A+ is the must have, I think, I just have the study the sims and my A+ by Andrew and cisco HP books again, to brush up again.

I took both A+ exams on the same day, because I had studied hard for both parts at the same time. My experience with computers hasn't been strictly hardware and strictly OS, it's been integrated, so my study was integrated. If you're studying for Cisco exams, there is probably LOTS in A+ that you may have missed that would "fill in teh gaps" where you just can't figure out why something doesn't happen the way it should.

It's considered the entry level exam, but what it covers is so important and elemental that it can still prove beneficial at any stage of career, if you haven't gotten the material at some previous point.

Is it hard? Depends. I had to study, but I passed with great scores. I still take lots of notes when I'm learning something that I'm giong to have to do later on my own. You probably know most of the material if you've been in IT for a while, or you may find out you knew something WRONG. ANd if it was easy, my job would pay the same as my secretary's job did! If you are at the entry of your career, it's a good one to get.

I say GO FOR IT. (study first)

We had to take visual Basics, A+ Appliacations and hardware for one and two, Microsoft office and advanced, Windows securities, electronics and all the make up as I'm an old Man,now.
It gets tough ater 30 years as An Industial tech. to get back into studing, because the company I worked for moved over seas and have no job. But im ready to work and relax soon.
