What has happened???
I have been a member for quite awhile and the last two times I have connected to Examnotes, there is almost no value in any of the posts in the forums. At one time, examnotes was a great community to exchange ideas, problems, and such. It does not appear that way anymore.
Does anyone have any insight into this?

Yes, right now there is a certain type of blocker, but not exactly a proxy blocker.
It blocks based on ip blocks that are known to spam plus there is a forum spam filter.

yeah it was something like that.
mine got blocked and I had to request it be unblocked, but I bet there were a load of users who couldn't be bothered to find another internet connection that wasn't blocked to request their's get unblocked.
But the other main problem we had was us Moderators couldn't react to the spammers that did get through. All we could do was edit posts (although I did eventually find I could make threads disappear ), but we really needed to be able to delete individual posts and or threads, and also block user acoounts and or IP's because the admin (I presume you) was never around to do it.

Yeah, I was on here about a year ago. Then one day a guy (who would later become a good friend) posted about needing some moderators on his forum and asked if anyone was interested.
Well long story short, he got ridiculed and told to go somewhere else to find his sucker because nobody wanted to work for him for free while his site made money for him.
Here it is a year later. I'm happy to still be a moderator for this guy. In the last year I haven't even logged back on to here, until I got the email wishing me a happy birthday 2 months ago.
I'm glad to see that I made the right choice. When I was here before, any time someone had a question somone else had to tell them how stupid they were for having the question before answering it. That don't happen where I'm at now (infact it is cause for an instant ban if I see it).
And the owner of the site, he wouldn't come back here and laugh at this site for being a failure like I am doing right now, even after the way he was treated, because he's a better person than that (I think he should but then again I enjoy being a prick).
Maybe enforcer is right, if the mods had more power, they could get rid of the spammers, shut up the ridiculers, and turn this site around.
