What is the best book to learn day to day Red Hat for a guy coming over from Cisco?

Online resources. Tons of info and free. Redhat lists (or did - I don't know if they do anymore know that they are Fedora) their manuals on their website.

I would suggest any study material that helps to prepare you for the LPI exam. Being as vendor neutral as you can is your best bet. Where I work we run 4 distro's of Linux. Each has their place, and If I only learned RedHat I would be somewhat crippled in the other distro's. Good luck to you.

Hi friends,
As per my suggestion try the Redhat Linux Fedora Bible by Wiley pub. is best for anyone. Others are TATA MCgraw Hill books.

Mastering: Linux Red Hat 9

It's worth looking into getting a copy of this, it's got some really good stuff in it.
